April 12 & 13, 2008: Leslie's First Competition with Romero

On the first day, Leslie placed 1st in her class in Show Hack (high-school Dressage class) which earned her the right to compete for the Championship. She also placed 2nd in Pro-Am which is where the trainer (pro) shows and then the owner (amateur).

In the Championship the next day she placed 3rd for Show Hack. In the Country English Pleasure competition she placed 2nd. In the Country English Pleasure Championship, she placed "Grand Champion Reserve" which is 2nd.

With these wins and if Leslie continues to show Romero she will earn enough points to go to the National Competitions.

Leslie has a new adddition to her family! "Romero" is a 7 year old, 16.1 hand, dapple grey, Spanish Andalusian Gelding. Read more about his arrival in her November Letter.

Kay Marrs, the Fan Club Co-Coodinator for the past 18 years, has decided to step down. Kay, all the best wishes to you and thank you so much for all you've done for both Leslie and the fans!

Joining Krista as Co-Coordinator is Chrissy Holler, who has been the Fan Club's Research Coordinator for the past few years. Congratulations, Chrissy!

"Day of the Dolphin" has been released on DVD. An interview with Leslie -- who starred as Maryanne -- is included in the features. Amazon.com is one of the many places the DVD can be purchased online and they also list more info and reviews of the film.
